wwp@yahoogroups.com: Resend of: WWP June 2012 summer solstice event theme and shooting dates ... nthriwz 2012-May-19 18:28:00
This appears to not have made it to the list yesterday or the 5 times I sent it today. Please excuse the resends if it did.

======================================================================

The theme is "Heritage".

Heritage is a very wide term that gives you lots of ways to interpret it based on your country, culture and life experiences. Heritage is the things passed on from your parents that make you who and what you are today and will be passed on to your children in turn. It's what shaped the basis of your country and your culture. It can be the history of a company, group or organization. It's why things are the way they are because of what has been carried over from one generation to the next. Heritage is the living history that's all around us. It's what we see and do everyday that we don't give a second thought to yet, despite that, will become the heritage of the future that's yet to be.

This is a great theme and I'm excited to see what everyone has in their past (yes, even skeletons in the closet if you're willing to show them). Show the world what you've got and where you came from. Show us your heritage!

June 20th is the summer solstice so the official shooting period starts Thursday night/Friday morning June 15th at 00:00 (technically 00:00:01 since there is no 00:00) and ends Sunday night/Monday morning June 24th at 00:00 (midnight Sunday). The Open Editing period also starts at the same time and ends Saturday night/Sunday morning June 30th at 00:00 (midnight Saturday). All times are local to where you are when you shoot it and where you are when you edit it (if you happen to be traveling across time zones). The closing time of the Open Editing period is based on Pacific Daylight Time on the west coast of the United States. Use this calculator http://tinyurl.com/7fbcv55 to figure out what that time is in your area.

Thanks for participating.
