As for the question about how to target a certain frame or even a new window, the
nice folks at clickheredesign had this to say:

Adding a TARGET to an URL hotspot - is it possible?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Markus,

Yes, QTVR hotspots can target frames. QuickTime uses a special syntax for
targeting frames. It uses the symbols
"A<>" and "T<>" to indicate destinations using frames, eg,

A<http://www.somesite.com/somepage>T<someframe>

A new window (popup) can also be targeted using:

A<http://www.somesite.com/somepage>T<_blank>

There is more documentation on the A<> T<> notation at:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/tools_tips/tutorials/hreftracks.html The A<> T<>
informations is on the left of the page.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Regards,

Michael.

Just tried it (i.e. instead of writing http://www.some.url/, i entered
A<http://www.some.url/>T<_blank>), and it works!
