Unfortunately I couldn't participate on this wwp-event. So I only can enjoy all
your wonderful panos.
Seeing the Garmin map, I remembered a java-applet I played with some time ago:
It shows a globe and together with an xml-file you can just simply put "needles"
on it. Moving the mouse over that that needles shows some information and
double-clicking leads you urls you can specify in that xml-file (together with
the coordinates).
I've used some of the already transferred coordinates of that event to create a
demo page:

I like that kind of presentation, because I think it shows the spirit of wwp
quite well. There is a similar handling like with panos, you can navigate the
globe like you want, zoom in and out ...
It's a free applet (see demo page for download-links) and can be easily
installed.
So, have a look at it, what are your thoughts?
