You can find info at http://nikon.com under support.
Set top selector swith to manual (second click).
Press Menu
Scroll with thumb controller through menu items
Set White Balance to Fine for outdoor work.
Set EXP (exposure) to AE Lock
That should to it. The camera will automatically set the first exposure then
use those setting for all subsequent exposures.

Hi Steve
You use only MakePanorama2 for your pano?
Where can I find this freeware?
I searched with google, but I am not able to locate this freeware.
Your pano looks nice.

Hi
Here's my contribution:

I'm not sure if I'm done. I've had to do some futsing because I
hadn't learned how to set the metering before I did the shoot. Matter
of fact I still
don't know how to get the camera out of automatic with a series of
shots. If anyone would like to email me directions for such a shoot
for this
manual-less Cool Pix 995 I'd be most gracious.
Software: Photoshop LE; MakePanorama2 (freeware); No stitchware!
Beware!

PS Everyone is doing such a fine job. Its been really fun looking
through all the links.
