Thanks Markus,
I wonder what the CC folks will say. For now the best option indeed is an intermediate page with links and TARGET="_blank". I hope I can make this before the deadline for this WWP. The 'MarketGarden' link in my pano is very important.

I just took a look at CC's export, and it doesn't look good. If
you use an URL type hotspot, there seems to be no way to also
send a <target="_blank"> signal.

On the other hand, if you're using an "unspecified" hotspot, then
you're able to add
<param name="HOTSPOT0" value="http://anywhere/">
together with
<param name="TARGET0" value="_blank">
and all the other fun stuff described at:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/authoring/embed2.html#hotspotn

Problem is, you don't have access to the HTML code on the WWP site...

Not sure if there's a quick solution for this. You could make the
HREF point to an intermediate page that contains the links, and
if the visitor clicks on one of these, they would have the
TARGET="_blank". But that's a workaround at best.

Of course, it would be possible if there was a list input on the
WWPhp entry form for, say, 10 optional hotspots with targets ...
uh oh, is that the sound of sysadmins growling in the background? ;-)

So, seriously: Unless CC offers some hidden workaround for this
limitation, i don't think there's a way. I've mailed the CC folks
about that, we'll see what they say.

Yours,
Markus
