wwp@yahoogroups.com: Do-it-yourself 360 one-shot lens ? Philippe Giboulot 2005-Mar-16 23:17:00
As some of you know I am using a 30 square feet kite to suspend my camera,
sending it to a 400 feet altitude before taking the shots. It works quite
fine and I am really happy about it.

My next target is to make 360 degrees pics.

When I see these one-shot lenses for sale on Internet, I quite admire the
innovative idea, but it looks really overpriced.

There is so much brain gathered in this group...

Has anyone tried to create a do-it-yourself one-shot like lens, with a
simple plastic tube taped around the objective, focusing on a christmas
glass ball, or the back of a motorbike chromed mirror, and obtained
quasi-similar results ? Or any other do-it-yourself system ?

Best regards

Philippe
