Hello, Toyin,

For panoramic photographs, the higher resolution the better. Digital video cameras' resolution are much, much lower the DC. Take the cost in consideration, I think a Nikon D70 + Sigma 8mm fisheye lens are the golden partners. The final resolution of a panorama could be 6000*3000, large enough for Full Screen QTVR as shown at WWP.

For software, PanoTools (by Dr. Helmut) could be rank the most powerful. But it's hard to learn (especially for none English speakers like me). New fans should use it together with a graphic user interface, I recommend PTGui (www.ptgui.com).

  Have fun!

  Dear members,
Please forgive this ignorant question from a new member.I intend to purchase a digital video camera soon.
Will I need any other hardware apart from the camera to produce panoramic images or I will need only stitching software?
  Thanks.
  Toyin
