I, for one, absolutely agree with you on this point Bruce. ZKM is a
multi-million dollar institution, as others have previously pointed
out. As such, it benefits enormously in 'marketing value' for the
institution, if nothing else, and at the expense of many many
individual artists such as the members of WWP. The 'NON-PROFIT'
moniker is simply a mask to hide behind. The individuals within ZKM
that speak and think of themselves as 'ARTISTS' need to take a long,
hard look at themselves in the mirror and come to grips with what
they are hiding behind!
This institutional arrogance has to stop and any individual artists,
production or otherwise, within this group needs to stand up, take a
stand, and speak out about the wrong-doing and copyright infringement
- loudly! if they have an ounce of courage and self-respect for
themselves as 'artists' and for we other artists and art practioners
they owe it to themselves to come forward. The 'INSTITUTION' will
grow and be better for it.
