Hi Rolf,

is $38.20. Sell it by Amazon, so the shipping will be cheaper."

We have looked quite closely at every option we could to sell this
Virtual Reality Photography book as effectively and economically as
possible. I really DO want to get it into the hands of all VR
photographers who are interested.

Unfortunately, Amazon is not an option for us at this point, due to
their contractual terms and low financial returns. They're a great
option for high volume publishers, and high volume books (of which we
are neither). We are looking at possibilities, but for the forseeable
future, the Virtual Reality Photography book will be sold and
distributed exclusively via the VR Photography web site -- http://www.vrphotography.com

The difficulty is that the U.S. Postal Service, which is our best
option for shipping throughout the world, charges significant fees for
international shipping of the book. This is in part due to the fact
that I insist on packaging it inside a box for shipping, rather than a
padded envelope. I have received too many softcover books in padded
envelopes that get completely trashed en route, especially via
international shipments. So the use of a box is a necessity in order
to help make sure buyers receive the book in the best condition
possible. We do not make any profit on international shipping and
handling charges, as we wanted to keep these as reasonable as possible
for international buyers. If we can find a cheaper way to ship the
book internationally, and still be confident of its condition upon
arrival, rest assured that we will quickly reduce the shipping &
handling fees charged to customers.

We are also looking into the possibility of offering this as an e-
book, or electronic download, but haven't yet been successful in
finding a reasonable distribution format. However, when that time
comes, this will certainly be an option for international buyers, as
there wouldn't be the physical shipping charges involved in sending a
heavy paper and ink book.

Keep in mind that the Virtual Reality Photography book is 320 pages,
8.5"x11" in size, and weighs about three pounds. It is a large book,
filled with lots of useful information. And its cost is $44.95
(discounted until Jan. 31 by 15% to $38.20).

Thanks for your interest and understanding. And again, thank you to
everyone in the VR community for your tremendous support in making
this publication possible.

Regards,
