Hi Bo!!!
:-D
I still own two of the ancient Kaidan monsters, one of which I simply bought
because it was so cheap and reminded me the time in which I could not afford
it... I've to find a fitting APPLE photo camera to fit it!!!
The other was my first real panohead. They were beautyfully made, and no
compromise designed.
;-P
I started stitching with a video camera and an alpha apple software... I
went on with scripting and coding with the first panotools, with the
precious help of im_im Dersh list... and I organized or helped the panotools
meting from beginning.

I've to say I recognize in your words.. Like you and the others, we all
built up this stuff, we were in the networks learning from each other,
innovating, discovering, sharing etc.
Now you look around and see a lot of people claiming to be the first, the
best, selling your ideas as their products...

I'm not against commercial announcements here, because here is the filter.
The newbyes with strong commercial aptitude and small knowledge, and fakes,
and all the irritating stuff have to pay atention, they are in the tiger's
cage. ;-) So an announcement here and in PanotoolsNG must be done fairly and
wisely. otherwise we BITE!!
:-D

For Scott:
As soon as your book is around with a fair shipping price for Europe, or on
ABEbooks and similar, I want, desire and struggle for one copy.
I simply want to own everything written, made etc on the panoramic scene.
Technical, theorical, pcatcical or hystorycal.
I'm trying to preserve the memory and share the knowledge.
