wwp@yahoogroups.com: RE: Google Earth and the WWP Wheaton, Simon 2005-Dec-28 03:21:00
So I downloaded Google Earth and had a play around, it is fun.

Is there a reason why the WWP 'EXPERT:' Google Earth data settings can only be chosen from a limited number of options in a dropdown list?

This doesn't seem very 'EXPERT:' to me, I'd rather be able to enter the exact values I choose, rather than be restricted to the choices given.

Thanks,
Simon

Fair game, suggest away. The WWP evolves with every quarterly event.
I expect Google Earth will be the major step forward we take this
time (and next quarter, also).

There has been considerable communication among the admin team
members to get this launched. Input from all participants is welcome,
and expected.

Yes, mechanisms for dealing with "locationless" panoramas/objects and
preserving participants' privacy have been discussed. Details will be
posted to this list when reasonably final, and changes can be made
right up to the last minute.
