wwp@yahoogroups.com:
WWP pages and WMP

Yesterday I tried visiting the WWP pages using a
public internet kiosk and found that instead of seeing
the VRs each page had a broken-image icon from Windows
Media Player.
This was presumably a result of the mis-configuration
of the Windows system inside the kiosk so that it
grabbed .mov MIME type.
I noticed that I had the same problem with my own
pages ...
I vaguely remember reading about a device that can be
used with a bit of HTML that shows a QTIF image saying
"you need Quicktime" displayed through the SRC
parameter and the VR only being displayed through the
QTSRC parameter. I haven't check the HTML of the WWP
pages
Does anyone have an example of the use of this trick
to produce a more graceful degradation for those with
broken Windows systems?
Thanks.
George
