frustrated with file sizes and image quality

I am using the PT gui software to create the qtvr from a cylindrical
pano i created in my ArcSoft Panorama Maker stitching software.
Unfortunately the best and clearest version of my pano is 500 kb too
large. After going back to the cylindrical pano file and re-creating
it in all three modes - small medium and large, and then converting it
to qtvr, the image quality has degraded to a fuzzy image.
How can i reduce the file size using PTgui without losing image
quality?
My pano is up on the wwp prep server, and is all ready to go, but i am
unhappy with how it looks. Help!
