Well, some statistics:
The whole WWP website currently weighs in at 5.7 gigabytes
of data. 5.2 of these are participant's movies ("including
less than 1% of natural and nature-identical thumbnails" ;)
), the rest of 500 MB are the web pages and the map images.

Another quote from the admin area: "Currently, there are 708
registered participants (of these, 692 have actually made at
least one submission), with 2318 panoramas in a total of 10
events in the database."
Some of the numbers don't add up yet, since a few first-time
contributors need the late-editing chance to add their
panorama and are not yet online.
