Don, Kat & Landis,

Thanks for your kind comments, call it one of those ideas that comes
from how you feel about doing something. My idea was of a badge or
button design, something circular. I didn't see something that merged
into the page, I thought about it standing out and being noticed. A
sort of text round the outside, logo in the middle design (sorry
drawing isn't my thing).

As far from where to link to, as I said before maybe to your
photographer page. I thought that as you were proud to be
participating, showing your work first would be good. The thing I
would not want to forget is of course the project sponsors. If the
photographer page became a first hit page for visitors then that page
would need the additional "sponsored by the Geography Computing
Facility at the University of California Berkeley" text (as with the
front page and the event pages). After all without them where would
this project be?

As for the special badge idea, I had thought of that too, with a
number on. The only downside I thought of was updating the number each
event and people uploading a new badge (but if people were proud to be
taking part, then they would hopefully want to upload the new version).

I don't think that an additional web-ring is needed as the project
almost has one already with the photographers page and the next /
previous buttons. From this page people can navigate to your own
pages. After all with an external web-ring people could navigate
around to see everyones submissions without ever visiting the world
wide panorama site itself. Oddball idea maybe add a "meet a random
photographer" button on the world wide panorama site?

Oh well back to looking at gardens,

Thanks again,

Bob Bilsland.
