Don't worry, it's not offending.
Im a brazilian living in Canada and I wouldn't feel offended at all in a
case like this. It all depends on the context and yours definitely isn't
one to be offended with.
Great pano by the way! I like the dark mood (doesn't seem too dark to
me) and the orange overall cast from the sodium vapor lamps (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_vapor_lamp ) is very nice. That kind
of public lighting is used a lot in Brazil and I can say that your pano
gives the real felling of it - well, at least on my screen! ;) - and
looks a lot like some of Rio's suburbs.
