Re: Coordinates

I have compared the coordinates of my Magellan 315 and Multimap - it is almost correct, actually fine for the display on Multimap. But I noticed that the Multimap display 'location in Italy' - even it is 50 km from the border and in Slovenia - It is most probably because the 'hit' is from the Map 'Italy' - the edge of it ? So the interpretation should be 'location map Italy' or so...

Please check your geographic coordinates at:

This page will not be linked to the final site, but it's there to
give you an idea of the coordinates that I'm planning to send to
Markus to make the map index.
If you supplied coordinates, I used those. If you didn't supply
coordinates, I did my best to find some for you. Some of these are
not very accurate at all, but if I don't hear back from you, this is
what we'll use. They will most likely be good enough to give an idea
of the location.
You may click on the coordinates for a link directly to MultiMap.
I'm not sure I like the way that MultiMap works right now, but if
everyone else likes this, I can add it to the entry page in place of
the coordinates that are now there.
Opinions? Send to the list.
Corrections? Send directly to me.
