What lens did you use? I have seen a few FC-E9 Nikons with baked on gunk
INSIDE the lens - the same coating that's on the edges to reduce glare, etc.
Looks like hardened paint, but NOTHING will remove it! These have ranged in
size from a 1mm dot to kidney shaped 5mm blotches.

Stunning panorama. Looks so still and cold.
I recommend however that you try to clean up your lens or CCD as there is a
quite large dark spot appearing in each of the component pictures. You can
find one of them above the windmill and just beneath the wire.
