wwp@yahoogroups.com: RE: quick reminder Wheaton, Simon 2007-Jun-21 06:58:00
It doesn't matter to me, as I have already shot my pano, but the URL
given below shows that where I am located in Australia, the actual
Solstice is on Friday 22nd June at 4:06am...
'Time is fixed on Thursday, 21 June 2007 at 18:06:00 UTC time'
'Canberra Fri 4:06 AM'

Shouldn't the shooting timeframe allow us to shoot a pano at the time
that the actual Solstice occurs, which in my case it seems can not be
done as the timeframe does not include June 22nd, when the Solstice
actually occurs here?

Please consider those of use that live in your future when deciding
shooting timeframe dates, there are people on here that live outside of
the US and Europe.

Thanks,
Simon

Today at 18:06 UT (that's Universal Time, aka GMT) is Solstice, for
those of you who want to exactly pinpoint their panorama (NOT
mandatory). According to timeanddate.com that is
<http://tinyurl.com/29ja7r> in your time zone.

Today (June 21) is also the last day of the "Photography Period" for
this event, so if you haven't already found a "community" you want to
show to the world: grab your camera now! :-)
