Just to offer a alternative,
I have been using the E410 and the Zuiko 8mm from Olympus, it's a VERY
compact camera package - and more important in my experience the 8mm lens
stitches VERY well, Im not particularly a rocket scientist, but images from
this 8mm seems to go together easily and painlessly.

Suggest you look at the Nikon if Chromatic Aberration is a requirement...
If you shoot RAW and then process to TIFF or JPEG in Nikon Capture NX -
there is an
option to automatically eliminate (reduce) CA
I use it all the time
