I like the theme Time, I think it offers a lot of creativity especially around extended shutter speeds or time lapse.

I know it may be difficult to execute but I would really like to try and take the different angles of a panorama from the same spot at different times of day. For example it could be day on one half and night on the other by merging two panos from the same location. Or, to raise the level of complexity each angle as you turn around could be at a different time, e.g. every hour making a single photo also convey a day long time lapse.

With extended exposures it's easy to see that at night this would give you trails of lights as cars and vehicles pass. Though around dusk or dawn with a small aperture and an ND filter you could slow the shutter enough that people walking through your scene would blur.

One final thought, I have seen on one website a QTVR MOV based 360 pano which was animated. It was a slowish frame rate but it was clear it was a 360 degree movie which you could view from any angle. I guess the creation of something like this needs one of those special conical mirror devices where the camera points up to the zenith and the mirror above it bends light from all angles to product a kind of polar image. Does anyone here on WWP have that equipment?

Neil.
