First of all they give you different maximum resolution: On a 8
megapixel APS-C sized sensor an equirect will be about 7000 pixels
wide for a 8mm lens or more than 9000 for a 10mm one. More detailes
values on http://wiki.panotools.org/DSLR_spherical_resolution

The 8mm acts as a cropped circular fisheye on an APS-C sized sensor,
the 10mm one as a full frame lens.

I personally would go for the Tokina. You can still use it once you
upgrade to a full frame body (shaved of course), and it will act as a
full frame fisheye at 17mm or a cropped portrait one at 10mm leaving
you the choice between fewer shots and higher quality. For a test
preview by Michel Thoby see http://tinyurl.com/2ojdug

You won't want to use a 8mm lens on a full frame body since it gives
roughly the same maximum resolution on a 20 MP sensor like on a 8 MP
APS-C sensor.

best regards
