wwp@yahoogroups.com: selecting, copying, pasting images into source pano Caroling Geary 2005-Oct-12 11:33:00
I'm overwhelmed at the education I'm getting from this world-wide
energy expo. Even the most trivial pano can have a unique and moving
story behind it. I started a list of comments and it is getting way
too long. There are many that show the same actor repeated all over
the place. The same child or dog or whatever. Suddenly I realized how
perfectly they appeared, although they had been copied from separate
photos and pasted into the source picture. Or is it some sort of
magic time delay to capture all on a single photo?

?1. Has to do with selection, that is, in a graphics program, what
are the techniques for selecting the actor image? Do you use the
magnetic lasso? Wand? Some other technique? Are these methods
described in Photoshop help?

?2. I suppose you paste each actor into a base photo of that view
before stitching. Or do you stitch each separate pano and then cut
and paste from each source?

Has this topic been covered on some other list? Can you point me to
such discussions? It really isn't about the WWP per se, but I don't
know what other forum would be more appropriate. The warping of time
into 360 degree warped space is getting really interesting.
