wwp@yahoogroups.com: Fullscreen pages on Win Hans Nyberg 2004-Sep-24 20:17:00
Hi Landis, Don, groupe

I have been checking the Fullscreen pages at WWP on my Virtual PC WIN
XP.

I would like to include the script to open them in my Tips and Tricks
for QTVR at Panoramas.dk
http://www.panoramas.dk/quicktime/index.html

However I discovered that they do not perform as I expected.

1. The scroll bar appears always as a white area without bar. Your
script says "auto" and I see all the page.
I can see that the same thing happens also when I use F11. I find this
empty white area to be very disturbing especially when it is empty with
no bar. The standard javascript opening is much nicer even if you get
the frames around the window.

2. The standard close window function "CTRL F4" is not working.
Only way I can close is with the Close link. Without it you are
completely lost. This means you can not use it without a text at the
bottom with Close Window.
This may be special for Virtual PC, I do not know. Usually everything
works exactly as on a standard Windows PC.
Do not expect "normal" visitors to know short cuts anyway. I once
tested it and only 1 out of 5 knew how to close a window with it.
Normally I do not any more include close window link on pages which
have the bar at the top.
That close function is known by all.

I also expected that I could use the F11 command to return to standard
window but that does not work.

Hans
