Hi Erik,

I just had to laugh out loud this morning when I read this.......Someone
asked you for the link to your famous Verdon pano and did not realize to
pan down? How challenged can one be? Was that person not the least bit
curios from what position that shot was taken (video or not)?
And that because of Autorotation of a still pano picture?
I would not adjust to such a (nano) minority at all. Autorotation has its
merits.

However, I have come to the conclusion that rotational animation has to be
used delicately. Yes, I am guilty of not doing so myself and stand to
correct it. Due to numerous presentations one on one and in front of
groups with a beamer if have gotten my share of comments as well.
From getting dizzy to angry because the picture "stumbling" on and on due
to memory issues.

It be very interesting to collect all of our experiences with the so
called "Newbies"
we, or at least me, trying to sell this art and technology. That way we
could fine tune presentation with animation (Not sure though if wwp is the
right place to do this.

As Hans has already mentioned, cubic connector offers the option of
rotation without restart. Another option would be to allow the user to
manipulate the rotation to speed up, slow down or stop the animation. I
use the Omniviewer skin (Imatronics) for this.

Happy Holidays

Cheers, Milko
