the best strategy now is to perpare an invoice and send it to them. then
contact them and negotiate between that invoice (our extreme condition)
and their current position, and see where the negotiations lead before
making any noise or irreversible act of war.

Yuv,

Good point! So, if we take the total number of VR's that have been produced
during the period that they misappropriated, then multiply that by the
reasonable charges for theft and copyright infringement, we would arrive at
our "extreme condition". Then, whatever the settlement turns out to be,
would it make sense to divide that by the total number of VR's, and then
each artist would get that amount for each VR they produced during the
period in question? Therefore, the more VR's you produced, the more of the
settlement you would get. Then, each of us could decide individually if we
want to donate some or all of that back to the WWP. Maybe we could use it
for taking the WWP off of the Berkley servers, or covering some of the time
that Landis et al have put into the effort all these years. Personally, I'd
like to see some of whatever the settlement turns out to be going back to
the WWP in some form.

Should we set up a way to gather who wants to be included in this collective
invoice? Let's not assume that everyone wants to be included. Maybe it could
be in the form of an email to the list where the subject is either "ZKM YES"
(to be included in the collective invoice) or "ZKM NO" (to be excluded from
the collective invoice)? Either that, or a poll where the ID of the voter is
recorded. That would save massive amounts of emails coming to this account.
