All costs in NZ $.

Gosh things are changing fast here. Six months ago CS6 professional was
$2500. I was/ am paying $38 per month for the full cloud membership so that
was why I jumped. Looking today (and thanks Hans for making me do so) CS6
has dropped below $2000 and I am following an auction at the moment that
could go a long way below that.

Subscription rates seem to change all round the world which is ridiculous,
however I have always found this with Adobe, that they seem to "soak" each
market for what they can get out of it. If I can get a copy of the master
collection for some silly low price I will certainly jump again. In a few
years' time.....well that's something to worry about in a few years!!!!

One thing I am not prepared to give away and that is CS6 Raw....what an
awesome program!! Does anyone watch "Creative Live'? (www.creativelive.cam)
. I have learnt so much through watching (even if I have to get up at
0300hrs to do so!!!

Regards to all, Briar.
PS Please check out "Asset Imaging" on Facebook, I am only a few days off
having my new website live. If you would do me the favour of "liking" it I
can start getting stats as soon as the website comes on stream.

Sorry Briar but you sees to have some problems with math.

If we look at the Standard CS6 the US price was $1180 to that you should
ad 2 updates a $400 for the next 5 years as normally Adobe updates every
second year.
That will cost you around $2000

The CC subscription is $50 a month which makes in all $3000 for 5 years.

The only option which makes sense is tif you need the large Premium version
which will cost about the same in CC.
For Photoshop alone which is what most Photographers need you have to pay
more than double price for the Crerative Cloud. And that is compared to
upgrading each update which most of us do not do as the new features are
usually not worth it.

The subscription allows Adobe to just cash in without doing some real work
with making worthwhile new features.

The whole idea with making updates is that it needs the developers to really
work hard and make them better.
