My story:
A long time ago....... isn't this the beginning of a nice story? ;-)
Last wwp (World Heritage), I was so frustrated about the bad weather.
I drove to the spot with my car and the nearer I came the bader the
weather was getting.
I took the family with me to shoot panos in the Viamala gorge. My two
daugthers were
amazed of the gorge and have had a great time. Their father has had much
problems in
shooting photos because of the rain (Waterdrops on fisheye lens)
At home I have loaded the images to my computer and that was it. I was
sure, the photos
aren't good enough for stitching a pano. There was also a very bad light
situation with big
contrasts. I thought, I will take the next wwp event to partizipate. The
date for uploading
files was gone and I gave the photos a try to stitch. There were also a
few photos shot over
the fence with monopod and cable release (1 down, 1 left, 1 right, 1 up)
My equipment was
Nikon 4500 with FC-E8. Here the stitch results of this:

In one pano (ViaMala_006), you can see me, holding the monopod over the
fence.... ;-)
So I was waiting for the next wwp event to partizipate. Bridges is a
wonderful theme and I
have found "my" bridge naerby really fast. One week before the event, I
was there to observe
the best places to take the photos. The weatherforcast was only good for
saturday, so I prepared my
equipment for saturday. Now I have a Nikon D70 and a 10.5 mm Nikkor.On
saturday morning
I finished - in a hurry - my selfmade panohead for the monopod and
haven't had the time to fine tune it.I allways
need a bit of challenge.
The shooting was really good and I stay there just at the right time and
the sun was in the right position.
I had a good feeling after the shooting session and drove home. Arrived
at home, switched the box on
open the photos in PTGui and............you know.....
It was a windy day and my monopod wasn't that good leveled. So I needed
most of the stitching time to
retouch the panos in photoshop by playing with layers. But now I have a
big problem. I don't know which
pano I should choose for wwp. I asked my wife, and she said load them
all up...... d:^)
Now I have choose one and with the others I will make a page to show
them all.
A big THANK YOU to Don and Landis who made this possible.
I'm curious about the next theme. I will partizipate again, if possible.
Peter
ps: sorry for my bad english and the less words I know for use....
