wwp@yahoogroups.com: RE: Themes! Meredith M Jordan 2008-Mar-06 21:04:00
Good afternoon Landis, where can I get help on how to take a group picture
at a convention, in a hotel ballroom. I have a Nikon D200, D70s and D70. I
also have a Fisheye Nikkor 10.5 mm and a Nikkor 12-24 mm. It will be a
banquet setting and I would like to take this picture by setting up against
the back wall, half the length of the room, can you help me. Do I need to
buy a 303 PANORAMIC HEAD. I read up on this head that this head is heavy,
please help, thanks.

Subject: Themes!

Choosing a theme can be a difficult process. The theme is something
that we want to both make it easy enough for a beginning VR
photographer as well as offering a challenge to the more advanced
one. It must be open enough to allow a variety of interpretations
but still be able to carry an event along a cohesive narrative. Many
ideas have been floated and we've listened to all of them and tried
to craft them into ideas that will work with a crowd as large and
diverse as the participants of the World Wide Panorama.

Please continue to add to our database (http://tinyurl.
<http://tinyurl.com/2lu4zw> com/2lu4zw)
because this is the first place we look when trying to come up with
ideas that will work for the next events.

With that, here are the themes that have been chosen for 2008. I do
hope you'll challenge yourself and share with us your own
interpretation of:

March - Beginnings
June - Elevation
September - Color
December - Best of 2008

-Landis (& Don, Markus, Thomas)
