You'll have more luck if you search for "Web 2.0"; I suspect "net2G"
is a variant caused by translation somewhere along the line.
Web 2.0 was a term used by Tim O'reilly and Dale Dougherty in 2003 to
describe the new developments that were taking place online, marked
out by the innovative use of dynamic information sharing, or
remixing, and similar developments. See
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0 and
http://oreilly.com/web2/archive/what-is-web-20.html for starters.
Some say the term came earlier, but the O'Reilly use is the first
time it was applied specifically to known developments. Prior to this
it was more of a futurologist prediction or sci-fi musing.
Tim Berners-Lee has called Web 2.0 nothing more than jargon, but I
think he missed the point. It isn't a technology in itself, it is a
new way of approaching how we use information and the possibilities
opened up by dynamic integration. Yes, it is vague and hard to pin
down, but the page at the O'Reilly site helps clarify it at least a
little.
