I was actually the one who discovered the hijacking of the Quicktime-VR
list and told the administrator.
It turned out that Nabble had hijacked several Apple list without the
administrators permission.
This is a thread from another list about their methods.

There are 2 lists of this type. The most known is Gmaine but as far as
I know they never ads alist without approval from the administrators.
The way Nabble does it is without any doubt against all copyright rules.
Especially in combination with Yahoo lists.
Apples lists are indexed by Google and everything you write can be
found by searching in Google.
But Yahoo are not indexed. However when you ad a Yahoo list at Nabble
you will find everything you write in Google.
Why does anyone want to create a free service like this.
Here is a sentence written by one of the creators of Nabble about 6
months before they started

You may interprete this as you want.
To me it is very clear that he expects to earn money on your posts at
some time.
Both the Panotools lists have added Nabble as a mirror without asking
the members.
I have not complained yet but i find it obscure that several of the
people who are afraid of fullscreenQTVR are just accepting this
hijacker as a site they just let take over the list without asking the
members.
