Guess in a ideal world one can dissagree.
While I do agree that sustenance was a theme with wide room for
interpretation. I dissagree that it was limiting creativity, and
personally I feel that it let me photograph a subject I felt strongly about.
For me the WWP is honestly more about the photography than the themes. and
I think that even wide interpretations of the theme is very valid, it is my
strong belief that the real value of WWP will not really be appriciated
until long after we all are gone. at that point it will truly be a series
of snap-shots in time around the world. and the more "data-points" there is,
well the more meaningful this event will be, both now and in the future.
Its not the theme, its us photograhing something which is meaningful to us.
When I hear that some of the people I think of as star-photographers have
chosen not to submit their panoramas this time.. wow I can only say that
while I understand, I also feel it is worth submitting these panoramas
(smile) Guys, do the late editing and get the shots online. They matter
and add to the texture of the WWP.
