Hi  Panofriends..
reading all these wonderful ideas to  use a map( 
http://www.panoramas.de/panoramas/wwpmap/ )  to visualize  the 
locations I had the  idea to do something cheap and dirty  with our 
standard tools (MAC)  CubicConverter and CubicConnector,  as I have no 
knowledge of Java/Flash/HTLM  etc..
here the "efforts"  of  very few minutes:

Used the NASA map  discovered by Markus, threw this on CubicConverter   
and  then the resulting QTVR.MOV on CubicConnector  where you can very 
easy add hotspots  as  a weblink. To see  the 3 test links,   activate 
the "show hotspot" button in QT (  was to lazy to paint  spots on the 
world......)
