This is not quite correct.
It has nothing to do with memory but it is some weird Flash limit on
one single file.
If you use cubefaces the limit is actually around 6000x6000 cubefaces.
Using Equirectangulars is a very bad way for Flashplayers. Unless you
have a cubeface generator.
Both KRPano and FPP behaves very bad with equirectangulars and
display severe distortions as wavy lines or distortions at the
zenith and nadirs.
What do you actually use. I see no info about that.
Fo me as a photographer the media used is important.
Why do you not choose QTVR as the single file. It is much better and
you can get the same streaming tile download as with QTVR
