Apple seems to view QuickTime are a delivery tool for Itunes, not primarily
a media player any more. If Apple wanted people to use QT, they would
provide a simple method to download a simple QT player, not a 40+ download
full of useless trash. Even when QT was a separate piece of software, it was
bloated. Yes, it was one of the earliest viewers, but it is NOT why we are
here.

Visicalc was the first spreadsheet. Leading Edge Word Processor was one of
the earliest word processors. Apple QT was one of the first pano viewers.
Being one of the first or a pioneer, does not go hand-in-hand with being the
best. Apple has to stop using it as a sales and marketing tool, or they
will kill it.

I no longer use it at all except for my WWP submissions. I will NOT force
someone to download 40+ meg to see a 200k image.

So, yes, eventually the WWP should really look at newer technologies and
ones that are more widely distributed.
