Audio Recap

I apologize if your eyes begin to gloss over but if you are planning
on including sound, please read the following.
Here is a recap from Markus' original post about the sound files
before the last WWP:
>- Mind the copyright. Using copyrighted music without a proof of
>license may bring considerable trouble upon us. Ambient sound
>recordings *should* be fine. If in doubt, do not use sound...
>
>- The sound is accepted as a quicktime .mov file ONLY. Should not
>be a problem, since you can pack MP3, MP4 and quite some more
>into the .mov container.
>
>- If you want your sound to loop, open that "final" file in
>quicktime player (pro) and select the menu item for looping
>sound. Then, save your sound file as "self-contained movie" - DO
>NOT use the "export" menu again.
>
>And remember: having sound is an option - not a "must".
And a little more info on how this sound file is implemented in the WWP:
If the viewer goes to your normal page, the sound file will be
embedded in that page with controls. Example 1:
http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/wwp1204/html/LandisBennett.html
If the viewer goes directly to the full-screen then a sound file will
be embedded in the page - complete with controls. Example 2:
http://geoimages.berkeley.edu/wwp1204/fullscreen_audio/LandisBennett.htm...
If the viewer goes from your normal panorama (with sound embedded -
Example 1 above) to the full screen panorama it will continue playing
sound from the first ('normal page') and NOT embed the sound in this
new page - you WILL NOT see controls. This is important because we
don't want the sound file to load twice and play two copies at the
same time. Go to the first example above and click the 'Full-Screen'
link for an example.
If questions about audio still remain, please let me know (#removed#)
